overheard.....

On my way to pump more caffiene into my body Tuesday afternoon, I overheard one lady say this to another lady:

"Is it ever going to stop raining?"

I immediately started thinking about the Seattle area, and how fortunate we are here compared to them. At that time, it had been raining in Nashville for approximately 18 hours. As of this past Saturday, it had rained for 27 straight days in Seattle. During the 27 straight days of rain over the past month, over 13 inches of rain fell. And not only is it wet, but they get to deal with all the other side effects of the rain - mud slides, water cresting well about flood stage, patients being evacuated from hospitals.

People who complain about a little rain are the same ones who complained about dry conditions only a few weeks ago.....
